Managed PostgreSQL
A dedicated PostgreSQL instance on local NVMe, configured for your plan's memory and storage. We handle provisioning, minor upgrades, backups with point-in-time recovery, and monitoring. It is reachable only from your environment's private network unless you allow other addresses.

- shared_buffers, work_mem and autovacuum settings are sized for your plan and adjusted when you change plans.

Questions
Can we connect from a laptop?
Yes. Add your IP address to the allow list, or open an SSH tunnel with the CLI. The database has no public address by default.
How large can the database be?
Up to the NVMe storage on your plan. Storage can be expanded in 100 GB steps without downtime. Databases over 1 TB are handled on Custom plans.
Is logical replication available?
Yes. wal_level is set to logical, so Debezium, Airbyte and similar tools work. We also use it for migrations into 9live.
How are major version upgrades done?
We test the upgrade on a copy first, then run pg_upgrade in a maintenance window agreed with you. Downtime is usually a few minutes.
