Hosting for e-commerce
Store traffic is uneven, page speed affects conversion, and the order database cannot lose data. 9live provides dedicated compute for sale periods, managed databases with point-in-time recovery, and hosting in Mumbai close to Indian shoppers.
Common problems
- Shared-CPU hosting slows down during sales, when traffic and revenue are highest.
- Restoring from last night's backup after a database problem loses the day's orders.
- Hosting outside India adds latency to every page load and checkout step.
How 9live helps
- Capacity for sale periods
- Dedicated vCPU and memory, with temporary upgrades for planned sale events.
- Point-in-time recovery
- Restore PostgreSQL to any second within the retention window, not only to the last nightly backup.
- Sessions and carts on Redis
- Managed Redis on the private network, with optional persistence.
- Mumbai region
- Application, database and static asset cache all served from Mumbai.
Suggested plan
Scale adds hourly backups, a read replica for reporting and a 4-hour support response, which matter most when the store is the business.
16 vCPU · 48 GB · 500 GB NVMe · 3, plus a read replica managed databases
Questions
Which store platforms do you support?
Medusa, Saleor, Solidus and custom stores built on Next.js, Django or Rails run without changes. PHP platforms such as Magento run from a Dockerfile.
Do we need PCI DSS compliance for hosting?
If you use a hosted payment page or tokenised payments from Razorpay, Stripe or similar, card data never reaches your servers, which keeps your PCI scope small. We provide network isolation and encryption; your payment provider handles card data.
